This wonderful folk art pottery pitcher features an exaggerated hand formed lip, a beautiful multi color glaze and an applied extruded handle. The pitcher also has a copy of a note that accompanied it included inside that reads in part as follows "Northern Maine Pottery Was Purchased In Penns in 1923 On The Way Home From A Funeral". The note is shown in our last image below. The colors in the glaze are bright and bold and the form is quite unusual.
