This offering is for an early inscribed and dated Middle Tennessee Pottery Jug. The jug features five necks and originally had four handles interspaced between the four outermost necks. The inscription on the jug is interspaced between the four outside necks and reads "MISS E. DAVIS ON 1842", the jug is again dated "1842" on the widest part of the ovoid body. The jug is app. one gallon in size measuring 10" in height to the top of the central neck. The condition is as seen below, please inquire for further description and photo's.
