This interesting bowl is made of redware and features a beautiful deep cobalt blue glaze and a portrait in the bottom. The bowl is entirely hand made with a wonderful hand formed pinched rim. The portrait has a whimsical, almost comic character look with an untouched patina and surface. I do not know where the bowl was made but it displays beautifully and it's folk art quality really sets it apart.
