This image is an original mid 19th century 1/6th plate daguerreotype photograph of a young girl wearing a wonderful dress, I believe the dress has either an embroidery or printed strawberry design. The image is very well composed and other than being tarnished at the edges the quality is excellent. The image is in the original case, the original seals are gone and there is no photographers mark on the plate but there is a plate makers mark on one corner.
