This offering is for a mid 19th century 1/6th plate daguerreotype photograph of a well dressed and quite reserved looking young woman. She wears interesting lace gloves with open fingers and a wonderful collar. The image is very well composed and the quality is excellent. The image is in the original case, the seals are gone and there is a small halo around the edges of the image. The only plate markings appear to be those of the plate maker.
