This little portrait of a beautifully attired young lady dates from the 1st quarter of the 19th century. The portrait is painted in oil on a small wooden panel. There are pencil notations written on the reverse but they are nearly impossible to read. The small portrait has a wonderful folk art appeal that make one smile, and linger to think of the young ladies past and her future.
