This small hand carved folk art stone head is in the likeness of a bald headed man with a mustache. The head is quite small measuring only 1 5/8" in height, yet the carver was able to quite capably capture what is undoubtedly a friend or loved ones portrait in stone. The head like dates from about the turn of the century and the craftsmanship is excellent.
