The offering is for a mid 19th century carved wooden plaque featuring a cherub in high relief within a scalloped oval. The carving was possibly done as a practice work by an apprentice or rural wood carver and is signed on the back with a combined JH. The surface is excellent and untouched with a wonderful deep patina.
