This wonderful carved marble book shaped whimsey was hand carved of a varigated brown marble and dates from the mid to late 19th century. There is carved writing on both the front of the book and the spine that was hard to photograph. However, the spine reads "JENNIE" and the front of the book reads "HALLER".
