This spectacular pocket knife features a fully carved wooden handle in the shape of a female figure. The knife was likely fashioned by a sailor with the handle representing the figurehead of the ship he sailed on. Based on the hair and clothing style the knife dates from the mid 19th century. The wood appears to be walnut.
