This offering is for a folk art carved wooden Hippo. The critter is carved from one solid block of wood that appears to be comprised of several 1" thick boards stacked on top of each other. The hand carved figure features wonderfully carved standing ears, a very stiff looking tail and a somewhat C shaped mouth. The figure displays wonderfully exhibiting a simply fun naive quality. The surface is very nice and untouched.
