This rare Shaker donut cutter dates from the mid to late 19th century. The cutter is made with a removable center section that allows for it to alternately be used as a bisquit cutter. The donut cutter exhibits a simple mastery of functional design as only the Shaker brethren seem to have mastered. The cutter is in untouched condition with a simply beautiful deep mello surface.
