This fancifully decorated wooden box dates from the last part of the 19th century. The box features beautiful geometric and swirled designs as well as a bird and foliage. The box is not signed or dated and the wood is pine. My guess is that it may be continental but that is really only a hunch. The condition is very nice with a very nice paint surface.
