This offering is for an original mid 19th century chalkware figure of a sitting rabbit. The rabbit has a bank slot on the back side which is uncut and the facial features are hand painted with color highlights. I believe both this rabbit figure and the sitting fox we have were made in the Illinois or Missouri areas. The figure is very light in weight for it's size and is definately hollow, however, being that it was made as a bank there is no hole in the bottom.
