Judging from the expert weaving, beautiful deep patina and wonderful proportions I believe this Apache Basket dates from the late 19th century. The basket featues a design of four dark horizontal bands with three wider verticle bands on the neck that angle to the right as they move to the lip. The form is excellent with a narrow base, strongly defined shoulder and a slightly flaring lip.
