The great little jug is made to represent the French emperor Napoleon and is marked on the bottom by the maker, "NAPOLEON JUG PAT APL FOR ALFRED M. EVANS PHILADELPHIA". The jug is made of a creamware china with hand painted polychrome decoration. The jug is quite rare, displays beautifully and is one a small handfull of documented American made Face Jugs.
