This very rare fish shaped figural stove lid lifter is simply fantastic. The lifter is made of cast iron featuring an a very good likeness of a large fish. The surface has a deep mellow patina and the casting is of fine quality. The lifter is not maker marked or dated, however it was likely made as a lunch hour piece in the late 19th to early 20th century
