This beautiful 19th century avian display features two hummingbirds. One bird is mounted as in flight while the other is sitting on a nest, quite possibly they are a male and female pair. The underside of the wooden base retains a portion of a paper label from a taxidermy in St. Louis Missouri. The birds display wonderfully in a very natural looking setting.
